Jacqueline Spence Assumes Role of OPSOA President for 2022-23
Members of the Ontario Public Supervisory Officers’ Association (OPSOA) are pleased to announce that Jacqueline Spence, Superintendent of Education LN13, Toronto District School Board (TDSB), has been elected as 2022-23 president and will assume her role on September 1, 2023.
In describing What OPSOA Means to Me, Jacqueline says; “OPSOA is committed to actively supporting and collaborating with its members to provide opportunities for professional learning that will create the conditions for an equitable and accessible public education system for all students and families within the province of Ontario.”
Over the course of her career, Ms. Spence has worked with the TDSB – both as a Learning Network Superintendent and System Superintendent with responsibility for Equity, Anti-racism, Anti-oppression, and the Early Years. Jacqueline was a member of the writing and development team for the first OPSOA SOQP course. She also serves as a Mentor for the program which is in its second year. Jacqueline has served as Co-Chair of the OPSOA Conference Planning Committee which focussed on an anti-oppression approach to leadership.
